Who You Work With Matters—More Than You Think!

If Your Trusted Professionals See You as a Transaction, It’s Time to Make a Change
Whether it’s purchasing a home, planning your financial future, or making any other important life decision, it’s not just about transaction —it’s about having the right people in your corner. And trust me, who you work with can make or break your experience.
I recently worked with a client whose financial planner was supposed to handle two simple, but critical tasks needed for the purchase of their new home:
- Liquidate one account
- Set up another for future income distributions
We did everything right to be proactive.
- We met with the financial planner before our clients even started looking for homes.
- We were told the process would take about a week.
- We created a solid plan of action so that when a purchase agreement was signed, all they had to do was execute the plan.
- They were the first call we made.
And then? Nothing. No urgency. No communication. No funds.
Even though everything else was finalized more than 10 days before closing, we still had to push back the closing by a full week because the funds hadn’t arrived. And, when they finally did—a week later—they were sent through regular U.S. mail. Yep, over $100,000 just floating around out there!
And the worst part? This should have been one of the happiest times of my clients’ lives. They were moving into a new home, closer to family, ready to start an exciting new chapter. Instead, they were stuck dealing with delays, frustration, and unnecessary stress—all because one person didn’t prioritize their needs.
This isn’t just frustrating—it’s unacceptable.
When you’re making one of the biggest financial moves of your life, you need people who treat you like a relationship, not a transaction.
- If your banker, realtor, lender, financial planner, attorney, CPA, or anyone handling your finances future isn’t proactive, responsive, and truly working in your best interest, it might be time to find someone who does.
Because when you have the right team, things don’t just get done—they get done smoothly, correctly, and with your best outcome in mind.
You deserve nothing less!
